"The Amish in SE Iowa have become appreciative of the gentle effectiveness of the cranial approach to newborn, infant, and child care.
My experience of over ten years with the Amish has given me opportunities to treat volumes of newborns and other children and afforded
me unique insights into the human structure and function.
Naturally, the health of our children begins before conception, continues during pregnancy and on throughout life.
The nervous system (brain, spinal cord and nerves) continues to develop after birth and throughout life, and is especially crucial to growth and
development in early childhood. The nervous system influences all functions within the body, therefore the healthy growth and development of the
nervous system is vital to optimal functioning of the being.
When skeletal growth exceeds the capacity of the soft tissue elasticity, pathological tightness occurs.
Because cranial and spinal restrictions can inhibit normal functioning and proper growth, newborn, infant and toddler
care is necessary to provide children optimally functioning nervous systems and overall good health.
I am pleased to be able to share these insights with others, not only in my practice, but in my speaking engagements and educational
seminars." |
